AitT3: move to larger venue due to demand!

AitT3: co-producing resilient communities sold out in under a week but, with the generous assistance of Cardiff Council’s Partnership Team we have managed to move the event to Cardiff County Hall and increase the number of tickets. 15 remain…book now to avoid disappointment!

Wednesday 26 September, 1.30-4.30 at Cardiff County Hall. (Registration at 1.00)

An entirely unmissable event, sponsored by the Welsh Government’s People and Environment Team. Put it in your diaries, cancel everything else, and book here via Eventbrite (places limited).

Our luminous line-up includes:

  • Hazel Stuteley & Dr Jonathan Stead talking about Connecting Communities (C2) which uses co-production to achieve profound and lasting change, moving communities from ‘isolation to transformation’. And they have the evidence to prove it!
  • Dawn Davies with an overview of Creation in Blaengarw, an award-winning project which focuses on regeneration in its widest and deepest sense – economic, environmental, social and, most significantly, on revitalising the spirit of its communities.
  • Nick Andrews will discuss All Together Now, an initiative which aims to challenge the traditional ‘hotel model’ of care for people living with dementia and to develop an interdependent and reciprocal model of community living which builds on their strengths and contributions.
  • Jenny O’Hara & John Hallett will introduce us to their innovative work in Glyncoch Community Partnership and Ely-Caerau Communities First. They are taking a radical approach to community engagement with a new initiative to connect communities.

My usual tendency to hyperbole is entirely inadequate given the quality of the speakers’ work. Nonetheless, I will try: visionary, awesome, cutting-edge, powerful, radical, inspirational. And then some.

All welcome. Please do pass on this invitation to colleagues.

Many thanks to the Welsh Government’s People and Environment Team for supporting this event, and to Cardiff Council’s Partnership Team for arranging the venue.
